Community Health Network of Washington Today

Founded by community health centers in Washington State, Community Health Network of Washington (CHNW) is a community health center based delivery network that includes a parent company, Community Health Plan, and a business process outsourcing company. CHNW’s mission is to improve the health status of our communities through the provision of high-quality, affordable, community-based health care to underserved individuals and families, and through sustaining the network of community health centers and affiliated businesses.

CHNW:

  • manages the health care of over 225,000 people through the Community Health Plan of Washington;
  • provides shared services and information technology solutions; and
  • serves as a collection and dissemination point for best practices.

Our community health centers form a statewide safety net for over half a million low-income people - including one third of Washington’s uninsured population - who have typically experienced barriers to accessing care.

By leveraging their combined resources and expertise through CHNW, Washington’s community health centers provide better care to their patients, invest back into the communities they serve, and are a more effective voice for health care access.
